Learn How to Speak Spanish Sooner Rather Than Later

Hits smaller text tool iconmedium text tool iconlarger text tool icon

Have you noticed how it seems like the Spanish language is taking over the world? Already over 250 million people speak Spanish. You might want to think about learning how to speak Spanish sooner rather then later. Spanish is turning up in media, newspapers, programming for children, and on food labels just to name a few places.

Learning how to speak Spanish sooner rather than later could potentially help you in your career also. If your part of the world is anything like mine, the job market is increasing tough. If you want a leg up, learn Spanish. In my area the employment market is turning from the manufacturing sector to the service sector. I also have noticed that there is a premium paid to those that are bilingual. Just as an example I noticed the other day that our local hospital was hiring for a Spanish interpreter.

So what you say? Well, this ad was for a part time position and paid twenty-five dollars per hour. I don't know about you but twenty-five dollars an hour for a part time job sounds pretty good to me. Also I am increasingly seeing customer service type jobs that require the applicant to be bilingual in English and Spanish.

I think it is time to learn Spanish sooner rather than later in order to remain competitive in a society that is definitely becoming more bilingual. What is strikingly odd about this is that in other countries this has been the norm for a long time.

Children in other countries are required to learn an additional language during their studies. What makes our situation a bit more difficult is that most adults in our country only speak one language and learning a new language as an adult is more difficult that when you are a child.

In order to learn Spanish sooner rather than later we need to think like a child learning a language. There is a great resource to learn Spanish for beginners that talks about using the linguistic approach to learning Spanish. This is the way that young children learn language.
